Pilot Students have to dig around and find their own information all the time. Here are some ideas to help you guide your research process.
Finding resources: Connect with librarians! Our school librarians have advanced degrees in finding information! It’s true. If you go to them with an interest, chances are very good that they can help you with some resources. Each Pilot student will work with Meg Allison as a point person to help with finding the information you need to go deeper into your study.
People are resources Another good place to go is other people - because unlike books, videos, and websites, you can talk to them and they will listen and give you answers. Not only that, but if the person has spent time learning the thing you are interested in, they might well have a whole bunch of resources you can use. Ask around: your parents, mentors, friends, and teachers might well have hidden stockpiles of contacts and information that you will love.
